This talk explores the journey towards organizational agility, examining the progress made since the Agile Manifesto was published (e.g., Continuous Integration and automated testing are almost ubiquitous), and the challenges that most organisations still encounter (e.g., lack of prioritisation, requirements with unclear acceptance criteria, lack of focus, etc.)

We'll delve into the evolution of agile methodologies from team-level practices to enterprise-wide approaches and discuss why many organizations still struggle to fully embrace agility despite their best efforts.

Drawing on recent research and real-world case studies, we'll examine successful strategies for becoming truly agile, as well as some common unsuccessful ones. We'll also explore emerging trends and future directions in organizational agility, including the impact of remote work and of Artificial Intelligence.

This talk aims to provide a realistic assessment of where most organizations stand on their agility journey, offering insights and practical advice for leaders and practitioners looking to accelerate their progress.

By the end, attendees will have a clearer understanding of what true organizational agility looks like and the steps needed to achieve it in their own contexts.
