The ACCU on Sea 2026, Call for Speakers

Jason Turner at C++ on Sea 2025

As previously announced, for 2026 we are joining forces with C++ on Sea to produce ACCU on Sea - bringing the best of two great international developer conferences together.

Now this is where you come in! A conference needs speakers, so we are opening our call for speakers for 2026, and it will run to Sunday, 11th January 2026. If you're reading this in November 2025 that might seem a long way off, yet - but don't let that fool you! December has a habit of distracting us and, before you know it, you'll be cramming to meet the deadline.

If you're an ACCU regular, the format will be largely familiar, but with some small tweaks. The most notable to keep in mind for your proposals is that we will be adopting C++ on Sea's mix of 60 and 90 minute sessions. Many talks make more sense in the 60 minute format, whereas others need that extra time to really get into sufficient depth. Now you'll have the choice.

We'd also like to make more explicit tracks or themes, if possible. You should not feel limited to these, but we'd particularly like to get submissions on the following topics:

  • C++:
    • Contemporary C++ (C++23, 26 and beyond)
    • Bread-and-butter C++ (basics/ fundamentals)
    • C++ in Games Development
    • Low-latency C++
    • Safety and Mission-Critical C++
    • C++ Tools
  • Non C++:
    • Programming Languages
    • Developer practices
    • AI
    • Non-technical topics for software professionals

What tracks we actually form will depend on submissions.

The Early Bird gets the ... cheaper tickets.

As usual we will be selling tickets at the Early Bird rate while the Call for Speakers runs. If you are not selected we still want to see you there! So you don't miss out, we will give you a code for a discount equivalent to the Early Bird rate in that case.

A final note: remember that the conference has moved - both in space (will be in Folkestone, Kent) and time (will run from 17th-20th June 2026).
